Each session will include practical work with the Feldenkrais Method, individual exploration of movement as well as hands-on partner work. In addition, there will be some theoretical explanation and discussion.
29 Jan: Feeling Whole: How the Limbs are Related
We can study legs, we can study arms; we can study the connections of legs into trunk, arms into trunk — how can we explore and make practical changes in the way arms are connected to legs, and all are connected to the head? Is there practical value in feeling whole?5 March: Finding Fluidity in Movement
The easy flow of movement through the body is one of the best indicators of ease, elegance and even power. How can we train in ways that promote fluidity?7 May: Strengthening & Stretching — and Learning
We need different strategies for different people, and as well for different moments in each person's life. How can we extend our strategies, and how can we decide which to use when? (Still a practical workshop, however theoretical that sounds!)11 June: How We Learn Best
